PLOFLON® PTFE - robust, versatile and reliable

PTFE is a tried and tested material in industry. It is resistant to chemicals, temperature-stable and has very good sliding properties. In addition, hardly anything sticks to its surface, which reduces the amount of cleaning required. These properties make PTFE ideal for moving machine parts, sealing elements, sliding surfaces or intermediate layers in production.

PLOFLON®  manufactures PTFE products that can be easily integrated into existing production processes - whether as semi-finished products, coated adhesive tape or customised functional parts.

Sliding and protective functions in machines and systems

One of the most common uses of PTFE in industrial production is to reduce friction. PTFE adhesive tapes from PLOFLON®  are applied to guides, slides, pressing surfaces or clamping devices. They minimise wear, reduce drive forces and ensure smooth movements.

These tapes also prove their worth as a protective layer on sensitive surfaces or tools. They prevent scratches, deposits or adhesions - for example when processing adhesives, paints or adhesive films.

Temperature and chemical resistance in the process environment

PTFE is suitable for temperatures up to approx. 260 °C and shows no embrittlement or deformation even under high thermal stress. It remains dimensionally stable and reliable in production environments with hot presses, drying ovens or vapour chambers.

The material is equally resistant to solvents, acids and bases. This is why PLOFLON® products are often used in chemical production, electroplating or plastics processing - wherever other materials would be damaged or dissolved.

Insulating, separating, sealing - precisely processed

In addition to mechanical applications, PTFE is also used as an electrically insulating material. In systems with high voltage, sensitive measurement technology or control components, PTFE films act as safe separating layers.

PTFE gaskets are also used in many areas. Whether as a flat gasket, moulded intermediate piece or insert in thermal separation systems - PLOFLON®  manufactures customised PTFE components, tailored to geometry, pressure load and temperature requirements.

Customised solutions for individual processes

Not every industrial application can be realised with a standard product. PLOFLON®  therefore offers the production of customised PTFE components. These are produced according to customer specifications and can be integrated into both manual and automated processes.

These include sliding plates, sealing elements, insulating foils, insert strips or non-stick inserts. Textured surfaces, reinforced fillers or adhesive coatings can also be realised on request - depending on the load and environment.
